In Oklahoma, certain project types are required to have an architect based on building use and size, as outlined in state statute 59 OS 46.21b.

Most of our projects are structured as a lump sum fee based on the scope, complexity, and timeline. We find this gives everyone a clear understanding of cost upfront and avoids surprises as the project moves forward.

At the beginning, we’ll talk through your goals, budget, and what level of involvement makes sense. From there, we define a clear scope and provide a fee that reflects the work required.

For projects that are less defined or more open-ended, we can also work hourly, but our preference is to keep things straightforward and predictable whenever possible.    

Studio A is based in Oklahoma City and primarily serves the OKC metro area. However, we've completed projects throughout the state and are open to working anywhere in Oklahoma.    

We focus exclusively on commercial and multifamily projects. Our experience spans office, medical, retail, multifamily residential, industrial, and flex industrial spaces. From small renovations to large-scale developments, we create functional, well-designed spaces that meet real-world needs.    

Timelines can vary depending on the size, scope, and complexity of each project. At Studio A, we prioritize clear communication and realistic scheduling. We will work with you to develop a project-specific timeline and keep you informed every step of the way to avoid surprises and delays.    

Studio A does not have engineers on staff. However, we regularly collaborate with a trusted network of licensed engineering consultants including structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers. We coordinate closely with our consultants to ensure a seamless and fully integrated design and permitting process.

Concept and Design:

Design is never done in isolation. We work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to refine plans, anticipate challenges, and ensure approvals move smoothly.

Documentation and Permitting:
Our detailed drawings and specifications make permitting and construction seamless. We handle the technical side so you can focus on the big picture.

We stay engaged through construction, answering questions, reviewing progress, and ensuring the finished project reflects the design intent and your vision.
